Local Sports Clubs
All children should be active both in and outside of school and so we encourage parents to use their child's free time to join local sports clubs. Here you will find some links to some local sports clubs, listed by sport*.

Friends of Swannies Running Group
2020 saw the organisation of a running group for the children and young people around Swannies field, Coalpool. After the effects of the nation's Lockdowns and the response to concerns aver physical & mental wellbeing of young people, FoSRG decided to create a celebration running event in September, with training being provided on a weekly basis.
It is completely free to all applicants and this year's training begins on March 27th and will continue through to September 4th and age range is toddlers to 16 years old.
Free training sessions are held every Sunday morning by a team of volunteers and the organisation is non-profit. On these sessions, water and fruit is provided for each participant as nutrition is just as important as exercise!
FoSRG hold enhanced DBS checks and have their own insurance in place.
